Farberware Barbecue Nonstick Mini Round Wok Topper, 8-Inch, Black

OK, mea culpa, I should have noticed the part that said “mini” and I missed that. And, they mean that!So, what I have is a really cute basket to use on the grill.Farberware says that it “brings the traditional Chinese cooking pot to the barbecue”. No, it doesn’t. You can stir fry in a traditional wok, if you try and stir fry with this you will have firetrucks rolling up your driveway.So, I’m taking away a ½ star for my poor reading aptitude (sorry Farberware) and ½ star for Farberware describing it as a wok which it almost is, but in the end, it’s not.If not for that, this would get 5 stars and since it’s not really fair to deduct a half of a star because I read and click too quickly, I’ll make it 4.5 stars. And, maybe give them another ¼ star because, well, it is kind of shaped like a wok and I can see why they’d say that. OK, 4.75 stars.One thing that I love about Amazon is that when I order incorrectly, I can just send it back; they never argue the point, they’re extremely forgiving and accepting when dealing with people like me who don’t follow directions or read carefully enough. But this is not going back to them, this is staying in my arsenal of outdoor cooking. The “wok” won’t fit on my wok burner properly, but I can still use it as I would any other basket.I have other baskets and they’re all square or rectangular. I love this shape for getting the food moving around, it’s easy to store, it’s easy to clean and we’ve had Farberware pots and pans for 45 years and they’re as good as new. So, it was a fortunate mistake on my part. I now own the cutest grill-wok in the neighborhood. My only, minor, nit to pick is that I’d prefer the handles to be welded onto the body. Riveted handles tend to collect food residue but it’s not a real problem; having welded handles is just a particular quirk of mine.As with all of these grilling baskets and sheets, make sure that you don’t use too much oil as it will leak through the holes and cause flare-ups.
